Late Rev. Amos Owolabi Adejumobi attended Quranic School under local Imams and successfully completed the 60 stages of the Quran. At a matured age, he started formal education and attended elementary school in Baptist Day School, Iragbiji. After completion of Standard Six and two years of Modern School in Igbajo, Osun State, he could not proceed further in high school due to financial inability. Therefore, he had to leave Iragbiji for Ibogun in Abeokuta to live with his late uncle; Chief Kolapo Ohunmakin (the late Jagun of Iragbiji) because he could not secure a job. While in Ibogun, Abeokuta, he worked as a housekeeper and clerk for a produce buyer from where he was given a teaching appointment by the Nigerian Baptist Schools and taught in various elementary schools in Abeokuta. During the course of teaching in the elementary schools, Late Rev. Amos Owolabi Adejumobi met with the Lord, accepted Christ as his Lord and personal savior, and was baptized in 1957. Late Rev. Amos Owolabi Adejumobi then proceeded to Baptist Teacher’s Grade III College, Ede and Joint Provincial Grade II College, Sagamu from 1960-1961 and 1964-1965 respectively. In 1970, he joined and was trained as Education instructor in the Nigerian Army where he mentored and tutored soldiers in training. As a result of his adept love and thirst for knowledge, late Rev. Amos Owolabi Adejumobi proceeded to the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria where he obtained his Diploma of Education in 1981 and Bachelor of Education in 1984, graduating with second class upper division honors. He then obtained his Master of Education and Community Development in 1991. He answered the call to full gospel ministry and subsequently obtained his Masters of Divinity from the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomosho, Nigeria in 1997.
